About Soquilichi Rescue Ranch
Soquilichi Rescue Ranch is a small not for profit "NO KILL" charitable organisation and has a strict non-euthanasia policy, SRR is registered with the ACNC (Australian charities and not for profits commission) and we are also endorsed as a DGR (Deductible Gift Recipient). Soquilichi Rescue Ranch was established to assist with saving animals from death row, as well as neglected, abused and or unwanted pets.
Day to Day Operations
The Rescue Ranch is managed by a small unpaid staff and a large dedicated group of volunteers. We assist with rehoming unwanted cats, horses, dogs etc and ADVERTISE FOR FREE & help network those at high risk. PLEASE NOTE..... Not one person working at SRR is a paid employee.
We are the same as you, families with lives outside of animal rescue and jobs to get to each day. We all scrape together what pennies we have to feed/vet and care for these babies, so any donations really do mean the world to us and the animals.
Temporary Animal Care
Most animals that come to Soquilichi Rescue Ranch are fostered out to dedicated foster carers. They are kept in a safe indoor environment and given every opportunity to reintegrate into family life.
These animals are loved as if they are owned by that foster carer and tears are often shed when we say goodbye. We will miss them but know that a life has been saved and will have a long and happy life, and another animal can then be saved. This is the most important part of Soquilichi Rescue Ranches operations.
All Soquilichi Rescue Ranch animals receive all vet work prior to being adopted. Unless they are a kitten that is released under the required weight to desex. If they are under the weight required, the animal will come back for desexing. This is included in the adoption fee and in the contract.
Goals and Ambitions
All animals, deserve a fair chance at having love and proper care for the duration of their lives. We hope to help educate the world to prevent an overabundance of neglected and abused animals caused by over breeding.
What we aim for is a world in which all animals are given respect we as human beings expect for ourselves. The world is a huge area so we will approach this goal, 1 region at a time, starting here, on the Sunshine Coast and surrounding areas. Help us to "spread the word", share us around to your friends and colleagues, donate what you can, be it money, goods or time.
